Smash Champion
It's been a while since I've put one of our events up on Smashboards, but we are BACK AGAIN ONCE AGAIN!! With our Get a Grip! Monthly. We feature the 3 big Smash games, and this time, we'll have a side Smash 64 tournament.
Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1683034918599941/
Due to popular demand, (oddly enough) there will be a small venue fee of 3 dollars.
So we'll need help with setups. More specifically, Smash 4 setups. First come first serve on the waiving of venue for setups. It's somewhat easier to get to the parking behind the shop now that 4th street is a 2-way. Or, you guys can use the parking garage. (Possibly the best option) The Meter Maids in Easton are real jerks, So stay on top of that.
If you've never been to Easton, there's no shortage of places to eat food. Most stuff is within walking distance. Plus, there's a Family Dollar 2 doors down that's open until 10PM.
This will also count towards the power rankings, and you'll get a double whammy taste of tournaments as Smash with BAE will be on the next day! Without further input lag:
So The typical Game Gallery rules apply:
1.) Have fun!!
2.) Be respectful
3.) Be fair
4.) Have Fun!!!
5.) Let me know where you're at all times (tournament pending)
6.) B.Y.O.C.
Here are the other rules, assuming there is a tournament
Costs:
$10- singles
$10 per team
$0 for crews (Of course, this is dependent on time.)
==========================================================
Smash general rules:
Double Elimination for each game. 2/3 for all matches. Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals are 3/5
-Stocks 4
-Pausing is not allowed. If you pause it will result in a loss of a stock.
Ruling on Customs:
There are no customs. Mii characters must have their default settings. This is final.
Special rules on coaching:
People tend to have a stigma about coaching. To coach DURING a match is NOT allowed. You CAN do it BETWEEN matches. You have a full minute to give yourself to breathe and focus if you need it. Take advantage of it.
After a Match:
The order is: Loser chooses stage, winner changes character, loser changes character.
DSR Modified: So we're clear. You cannot play twice on the same stage you won on. This is, unless agreed upon by both players. If you want to go back to the same stage you played upon...that's you. That means: If you lose on FD, and want to go back to FD...that's on you, buddy. It's YOUR funeral. However, if you beat your opponent, are on game 3 or higher, and (s)he won on FD, you have the right to deny him/her going back there.
Gentleman's clause:
The Gentleman's clause trumps everything. (except customs) If you choose to play on Pokefloats by agreement, that's you. If you choose to start on Smashville/Battlefield instead of stage striking, that's also you. If you choose to play out Sudden Death to decide the victor....that's YOUR funeral.
DQs and Latecomers:
This needs its own section. If you're going to be late...PLEASE let the store, the TO, or someone you know that's there know, so the TO (Tempestt/Uchi) can know. The same applies if you step out between matches. We don't like to DQ people, but we some people travel pretty far out, so let's be courteous to them. Please let me know where you're at, at all times.
Side concerns:
AS ALWAYS. I don't care about about wobbling. If you want to wobble, it's legal. The other stuff, however....(Soul stunner, glitch freezie glitch, etc.) don't think about it.
Stalling using Jigglypuff's rising pound, Peach's Wallbomber, etc. is not allowed. Please don't lame it up with excessive planking, either. Just common courtesy to players.
