Midwest Pinnacle 5

Pinnacle 5 will be held on February 28, 2016 in the back room of Downtown Akron's own Barley House (222 South Main St. Akron, OH 44308). Take advantage of the parking deck in the back that is free on Sundays.

Check-in is from 1:30 - 2:45 PM and the tournament starts at 3 PM.
If you are under 16 a parent must be present at check in.

Fees:
Singles: $10 per player
Doubles: $20 per team ($10 per player)
Venue: $5 per player (if pre-registered)
$7 per player (if not pre-registered)

1st place: 60%
2nd place: 30%
3rd place: 10%

30 < Number of Entrants ≤ 40
1st place: 55%
2nd place: 27.5%
3rd place: 12.5%
4th place: 5%

40 < Number of Entrants ≤ 50
1st place: 52.5%
2nd place: 25%
3rd place: 15%
4th place: 5%
5th place: 2.5% (split between the tie)

50 < Number of Entrants
1st place: 50%
2nd place: 22%
3rd place: 14%
4th place: 8%
5th place: 4%
7th place: 2% (split between the tie)

Game Version- U.S. Nintendo Wii-U

Game Settings:
· 2 Stock (3 Stock for doubles)
· 6 Minute time limit (8 Minute for doubles)
· Best 2 of 3 games (best 3 of 5 games in Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals)
· Items OFF
· Equipment OFF
· Custom moves OFF
· Miis are allowed with 1111 move-set and default size

Stage Selection:
Starters
· Battlefield
· Final Destination
· Lylat Cruise
· Town and City
· Smashville
*All Omega stages are banned unless mutually agreed upon.

Counter picks
· Dreamland (64)
· Duck Hunt

Additional Rules
· Amiibos are banned
· Coaching during gameplay is prohibited
· You may NOT select a stage that you have previously won on during that set unless mutually agreed upon
· You may NOT select a stage outside of the available stage list unless mutually agreed upon
· Order of events:
o Pick characters
o Strike stages: P1(strikes 1), P2(2), P1(1)
o Winning player bans ONE stage
o Winning player may change character after any game but that selection will be locked in before losing player chooses their character
· Please bring your own controller!

Additional setups are required for the event. Anyone who registers and arrives with a set will have his or her venue fee waived. A full set up includes:
· TV with minimal lag
· Wii U console with all necessary cables
· A copy of Super Smash Bros for Wii U up to date with the latest patch, all DLC characters, all stages unlocked (including Dreamland 64), and pre made standard sized Mii fighters with a 1111 move set
· GameCube controller adapter

The room will have a waitress assigned to it for the entirety of the tournament. Order any food or drinks from the server rather than walking out to the bar area. Barley House is treating the tournament as a party of 8 or more, which means there will be an 18% gratuity charge added to all bills automatically. Take note of this when you pay!
