Southwest SFC18! DRAFT 4v4 and Singles!

Welcome to Smash Fight Club! This is SFC18!

The Sm4sh Sunday weekly for Houston, Texas!

At the new venue The Heights Bar, SFC continues with the side event of DRAFT 4v4s!
Meaning with for example 24 players entered, we will have 6 top players pick their team members one member at a time, until everyone is in a team. Middle school kickball style.


The only catch is that at this venue smashers age 17 and younger can not attend. However, all matches from previous SFCs are uploaded onto youtube! For example, here is the Singles playlist from SFC17!

THE VENUE:

The Heights Bar!
A very spacious central Houston bar that is more than happy to have us come in and play smash.

Hours: 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
(Opens 4 hours earlier than its usual 5pm time for the tournament)

No outside food or drink allowed. (Besides water bottles)
Please be respectful of the venue and eat food outside.
If you need a break to leave to get food mid bracket, ask first if you have time or you risk getting disqualified.

SCHEDULE:

1:00 p.m. - The Smash United Team begins setting up
1:30 p.m. - 1v1 and randomly grouped 3v3 registration begins
2:00 p.m. - 4v4 drafting starts, then tournament begins
3:30 p.m. - 1v1 Tournament begins

$5 Venue fee
(waived for bringing a TV+Wii U+Sm4sh+GC Adapter with everything needed unlocked) Wii U must be updated to current format

NO SETUP CAP! The more friendlies we can have after the singles bracket the better!

1v1

Neutrals:

- BattleField/Miiverse (meaning if you strike one, you strike both)
- Smashville
- Town and City
- Lylat Cruise
- Final Destination

Counterpicks:

- Wuhu island
- Delfino plaza
- Skyloft
- Duck hunt
- Halberd
- Castle Siege
- Dreamland
- Any omega stage (banning this also bans FD)

Stage Striking Order:
1-2-pick for starters and TWO bans for the winner after that for every game

Best out of 3 sets until Best of 5 Winner's, Loser's, and Grand Finals.

4v4

Neutrals:

- Big Battlefield
- Pokemon Stadium 2
- Pyrosphere
- Any Omega stage
- Duck hunt

Counterpicks:

- Town and City
- Battlefield
- Smashville
- Peach's Castle
- Dreamland
- Wii Fit Studio/Super Mario Galaxy (meaning if you ban one, you ban both)
- Bridge of Eldin
- Yoshi's Island
- Norfair
- Hyrule Castle 64
- Kongo Jungle 64
- Lylat Cruise
- Castle Siege

Stage Striking Order:
1-2-pick for starters and 3 bans for counterpicks in 4v4. Best of 3 sets throughout the team event.

3 stocks
8 minute time limit
Items set to "Off" and "None"
Team attack ON in 4v4
Equipment is banned
Custom moves are banned
Pausing results in a stock loss, unless it is for the opposing player's controller malfunction.
