Advanced Throws
Note ~ I have made a brief guide on this subject before. If you are a new player (or have not read that one yet) I suggest you give it a look! Thanks!
So, we covered Ness' down throw briefly last time. But now lets move onto the more advanced combos in detail. Ness' down throw launches the opponent up in front of you. It does not launch at a large height until you are at kill percent. This means that it can combo very easily; However, you have to jump STRAIGHT after the throw. Otherwise they can airdodge or jump. His down throw can go into all aerials except D-air if timed right. You can chain PK Fire > Down throw > F-air > F-air > F-air for %37-ish. The PK Fire racks up extra damage and chains them in place for an easy grab but is not necessary.. Jump directly after the second F-air and continue to point the analogue stick forward when falling to land the third. But this third is NOT guaranteed. Another combo is PK Fire > Down throw > N-air > F-air. This is decent damage but harder to land. The bonus is that it chains into ground moves like dash attacks. PK Fire > U-air > U-air > F-air is a very good one to land but only works at low percents (about %0 - %20 MAXIMUM). Delay the double jump in between the first U-air to let the opponent fall into range. The F-air is the hardest section. Delay your fall by mashing PK Magnet to save yourself from going too far down. A kill combo that you can try (but if you mess up is a lost stock almost every time) if PK Fire > Down throw > F-air > F-air > F-air > PK Thunder. Use the PK Thunder to launch yourself into them if the jump, but AIM TOWARD THE STAGE!! PK Fire > Down throw > N-air > F-air > U-air can kill at high percents if you double jump right after the N-air.
Ness' Up-Throw is good at low percents with combos like: PK Fire > Up throw > U-air > U-air. OR PK Fire > Up throw > U-air > F-air. With all the other combos, jump STRAIGHT AFTER the first aerial. And don't forget to pummel once with each grab!
