(Please be aware that this guide is for beginners and advanced players, but if you are completely new to the Sm4sh competitive scene this guide isn't for you. By beginner, I mean a new Kirby main. So, if you are brand new to scene, welcome! Please familiarize yourself with Sm4sh's competitive terms before returning and reading this guide.)
Hello everyone! First of all, I want to thank you for deciding to main Kirby in Sm4sh, and for representing this pink puffball in the competitive community. This guy is definitely tournament viable, and we need the rest of the community to realize his potential.
But enough of my biased rambling! You want to learn about how to properly play Kirby in tournaments, right? Well, let's jump right into it!

Chapter 1:

Know Your Moveset

If you want to improve with Kirby, you must be comfortable and aware of his moveset. Let's go over all of his moves and familiarize ourselves with them.

Jab: Kirby launches his stub for a fist at the opponent. Hold down A to perform a jab combo, and let go to perform a finisher.

Forward Tilt (F-Tilt): Kirby spins once, kicking his foe. This attack can be aimed slightly up or down.

Down Tilt: Kirby crouches and quickly kicks the enemy. This move can trip. This is his best jab locking move, too!

Up-Tilt: Kirby does an upward kick behind his back. This move juggles well.

Forward Smash (F-Smash): Kirby kicks in front of himself powerfully, slightly inching forward.

Down Smash: Kirby spins multiple times,
