Recovery Techniques with Little Mac

Method #1: Regular Recovery
Regular recovery methods may seem ridiculous with such a weak Up+Special, so using the up B technique should only be utilized when you are absolutely confident you can make it to a ledge. I would advise novice players to avoid using this technique.

Recovery Distance (Vertical): ~15 meters (w/ jumps)
Recovery Distance (V): 7.2 meters (no jumps)

Method #2: Dodge Recovery
Dodge recovery is basically using a mid-air dodge to get extra horizontal movement on the map. I personally only use dodge recovery in situations where I don't have very much distance to travel. It should also be noted that because a dodge induces invulnerability frames, it is unlikely that you will be hit while using this method.

Recovery Distance (Horizontal): 10.7 meters (w/ jumps)
Recovery Distance (H): ~4 meters (no jumps)

Method #3: Side Special Recovery
Using Little Mac's side special is my personal favorite recovery technique, and is the one I would absolutely recommend to players of any skill level. It has quite a few benefits over the other techniques, including the fact that it is a powerful attack, making it difficult for the other player to hit you mid-air. It also covers the most horizontal ground out of all of these recovery methods. I highly recommend mastering the use of the Side Special Recovery ASAP.

Recovery Distance (Horizontal): ~14 meters (w/ jumps)
Recovery Distance (H): ~5 meters (no jumps)

Also Didnt mention that you can shorten side-B to gain extra height by pressing the B button twice
