Sonic is definitely more balanced when playing brawl how it is supposed to be played, with items. I like that especially considering I have no aspirations of ever playing competitively. I don't even like playing sans items. Sonic will be my main, and with items on he seems just as good as anyone...

Snake probably hates Sonic because he got in as well. Snake is not the only third party character anymore and stole Snake's thunder by a long shot. Or it is Nintendo's subtle way of bragging about their winning the console wars. It would also be why Sonic is not very good and has a crappy level.
