The jerking, I'd assume, would take a toll on your circle pad. When I play, I NEVER take my thumb off the Circle Pad while it is pushed in a direction or make any sudden jerks with it. The trick is to be very gentle, which sounds hard but actually isn't.

While nothing will beat the GC controller, the 3DS much better than using the Wii Remote, Classic, or Pro Controllers. There is something about the circle pad, while it does feel like it might break sometimes, that feels comfortable.

I'd say so. I play against Level 9 CPUs a lot, so when I lose to one I think "You know, I though I was good at this game..." (Don't you dare tell me to "play online more" because it seems like every other time I play online the connection is slow.)
