If I'm in a nostalgic mood: Samus. She was my main in 64. If I follow my plan, I'll start with the most unappealing character and work my way up the rankings, so I'll probably start with Yoshi.

Based on my current gamin habits, I'll say 30 mins a day 5 days a week.

Melee will continue, but Sm4sh will be a lot bigger, I believe. Lots of us are waiting for the new version before jumping in competitively, and if its as good and deep as it looks (I played the E3 build for several hours), its here to stay and will only grow.
