Smash series veteran, relative newcomer to the competitive scene. Mario main in PM, decent Falco in Melee.
I've been playing Smash since 64, when a friend gave it to me as a gift. We played it religiously, and I toted it to the 64's of cousins and friends around the country.
When Melee arrived, I sunk (like most folks here) an absurd amount of hours every day after school, on weekends, and with friends late into the night. I anticipated Brawl every step of the way, followed the updates on Smash Bros Dojo every morning before class, and even wrote dumb thoughts about the updates on a blog somewhere.
I still enjoy Melee for tourney play (spectating), but Project M is my main Smash game with friends, largely because most of my friends don't play Melee anymore (bummer). I try to attend locals and regionals for both when they come to NC.
So I'm dipping my toes in the PM scene here and there, working on making my Mario one of the best in North Carolina. We'll see where Falco takes me in Melee. Just playing to learn and have fun.
