I watched the E3 tournament they had and there were a lot of people into it. It was mostly due to the hype around it (Like you said) though. It looks like it is a little faster than Brawl was, which is a good sign, but I'm unsure how people will like the new ledge mechanics.

I live in NC and I am a bit new to the smash scene and just recently got hooked. I have been to a couple local tournaments but it isn't enough! I would love to come to another local tournament.

It's a bit early to be saying that. I plan to try out everyone at least once to see who I like. Even if you don't like the series they are from you may find you enjoy their play style.

Could not agree more. I could wave these off as being just for kids.... but some of them just look so awesome. I can see myself getting a few for my nerd collection.

I think Melee will stick around for awhile. It seems like the kind of game people in the Smash community use as a measuring stick for newer Smash games. I believe Sakura himself said he poured his heart and soul in that game.

Before I had any competitive knowledge of the game I use to main as Kirby...that changed quick after my first tournament.
