In fairness, we do have black Yoshis, black Birdos, and black Shy Guys. Also, Morton is the only Koopaling to have dark skin.

The only problem is knowing that the Kirby series belongs to HAL Laboratory, Inc.. And because of that, Nintendo can't just use Kirby whenever it wants to, which can explain why the guest characters that we saw in Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe) were from franchises that Nintendo fully owns.

Very interesting. But now that you've mentioned it, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, when viewing the composition and arrangement copyright info for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 songs, Monolith Soft was never credited for any of them.

Sadly, Nintendo would have to get past Monolith Soft if it wanted to use characters from the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

It's quite sad knowing how low the gaming industry has fallen if it's now going to cost us over $600 for the console, and one game. Combine that with the upcoming tariffs, and you can pretty much understand why people are warning us to NOT buy the Nintendo Switch 2 at all.

You can probably say the same thing for the WarioWare characters, since pretty much all of them have only appeared in the games that Intelligent Systems developed. But then again, Waluigi first appeared in a game that Camelot developed, but managed to become a recurring spin-off character.
