    Yes although they were, like minmin, base game spirits. I just find it unlikely that they would ADD paper mario origami king spirits during the dlc if he was coming, one would assume they'd save them.

    Paper mario has plenty of stuff to make a good spirit board still of course, I just think logically nintendo would have held off those paper mario the origami king spirits to be part of his board if he was coming. Its more about the timing, being during this dlc, rather than the fact he has spirits in the game at all.

    ARMS had spirits already but again those were base game and likely before the second fighters pass was decided, these new origami king spirits of course are during the 2nd fighters pass so no reason to add them now instead of waiting and adding them with paper mario if he was coming.

    Hi! Just saying, I am surprised your second pic from Soul Calibur to be in Smash Bros is Sophitia! She is my main SoulCalibur choice and current overall character to be in Smash.     Nightmare and Yoshimitsu are probably my top 2, sophitia def reps the series well tho so shed be cool to get as well (anyone from soul calibur id probly be happy about i love the series)

    Hey papa, I was just curious what your thoughts on Nuts & Bolts is. Were you able to get anything out of it? I get the impression that it's not a bad game, but just too much of a departure, much like Star Fox Adventures was to that franchise.

    The oddest thing is it reeks of a game like that that was changed from something else at the last minute, but it was a Banjo game all along...

    I remember it being partly why I bought a 360, playing it and being disappointed. That said it wasnt necessarily a bad game it just was a bad game to start off banjo-kazooies microsoft career. they were already departing from nintendo (and they were like honorary nintendo characters) and it would have been a good time to assure fans everything was ok and their new home (microsoft) wouldnt change things...instead nuts and bolts felt like they changed everything and so it was just bad timing. IF it had just been a spin off game and not our first look at banjo on the xbox, im sure i'd remember it as an ok game but it was instead a huge departure and combined with the change of console it made the whole experience feel like "they ruined the series". objectively though its not a horrible game but i dont have many fond memories of it at all.

    no immediate plans maybe on its anniversary or something, but yeah basically what was already said: the banner itself wasnt much more than any other leak just well researched with its character choices but what set it apart was that it was linking back to a company and that company not denying it/pulling videos offline etc... and then some bizarre coincidences that couldnt possibly be planned like isaac using a vine in the banner (no one depicts him like that) and that sprout item being seen for the first time in a new video during the week the "leak" was popular, it got insanely lucky several times really.

    I do not know, I'd assume it did indeed at some point actually come out of that company which is imo insane to risk your job or incriminate someone else and risk their job for a fake leak but that might be what happened.

    I think he still has a chance. I know nothing for sure though, I have heard some people say they've heard talk of geno as the SE rep but keep in mind vergeben also said he's heard 7 different square character names and its highly likely square is putting out tons of names so I really cant even trust someone "hearing" his name. We'll have to wait and see on this one.

    So... According to your sources, Dixie Kong was cut. Is that still a credible thing to believe? Or was she never planned being a more likely scenario?

    That was never something my source said, that was the chad-ganondorf leak that said that. That ""leak"" is almost certainly completely fake after the grinch leak didnt happen as it was always linked with that one. Dixies chances are completely up in the air.

    I'm sure I'll be excited and happy with whoever comes out for DLC, but I'd be lying if I wasn't hoping with everything I have that Banjo finally makes it. It'd just be a really nice tribute to people who grew playing N64 and falling in love with iconic characters like B&K. Here's to hoping we finally get to see Banjo hit the mainstage once more!

    Agreed! Yeah my source has a source who told him banjo was in. That source however also got fooled by the grinch leak and so did we so... take that how you will its a chain of info so while I trust my source is being honest I have never interacted with their source who told them banjo so the best I can do is put that info out there and hope it is true.

    I think as a Banjo fan, "hoping" is about the most we can do when it comes to their inclusion in Smash. But hey, a little hoping never hurt anyone. Your source's information aside, they have a fanbase, Sakurai knows about them, and the Rare / Nintendo relationship seems to be present now, so who knows!

    Wow, so you were stooped. Your source was wrong. Said he had proof of Banjo when it was just lies. I think the guys on team real really wanted it to be real. Guys like you, Billy and so many more(I couldn't make up my mind). So much so that you believed your source. I finally know why people say "The earth is flat". It's because when you want something to be real enougth, you'll just believe it. Oh well, there's always DLC!

    I still actually trust my source believe it or not, the grinch leak tricked me though (also about 75%of the fan base or so), my source thought banjo would be DLC until the grinch leak came out when his source said he had "heard" all of these characters but also incineroar and was confused. so now we are back to thinking banjo is dlc.

    The plant totally killed any enthusiasm I had for newcomer speculation; I don't see how we can take this seriously anymore. The man clearly has no care for our sect of the fanbase. The good they did with Ridley and Rool was reversed with this Direct. It's gonna have to take perfect DLC, but right now this is difficult.

    yeah its rough. i like piranha plant honestly (i like its moveset and they way it looks) but not as a final reveal and the whole final direct wasnt really "fan" choices and in this game where "everyone is here" is the theme and we had a smash ballot... its just not fun to get a wacky sakurai pick again, we've had enough of those over the years imo.

    Hey, I honestly have no idea what to think about the leak right now (would be cool if it's true though). Whatever happens, the Direct is going to be exciting. Quick question about your source: are you trusting them because of who they are or because of what they are/do (what position they're in, job, etc.) if that makes any sense? Not asking for specifics though. Big fan of your vids btw haha

    My prophecy about you meeting Geno in Mario RPG coinciding with his reveal is very well looking like it could become a reality, except instead of meeting him in the game, you meet him in Smash!

    Tbh, I'm borderline feeling one more Direct, because I don't see how they could stuff Grinch into one Direct.

    the august direct was 27minutes long and we got 5 characters there AND i think theres less modes and stuff to go over this time... this directs 40minures long, it might be a direct full of character reveals, two of which are echos if the leaks real, just saying the amount of time makes it completely possible.

    I know that you trust your source very much and I think I know who it is too. I'm not gonna tell you you've been stooped but I will say this.... I have been in touch with a "client" over the past few days who is very knowledgeable about the subject. In any form of entertainment, one of the first things they decide after the concept is the character design, according to my client, this is one of the main ways that info. gets leaked. This is because the company goes through many focus groups and anything of the sort(depends on the company and their goals) to finalize the list(after all it is the most important aspect of things like movies and video games. After much thought, some characters are then green-lit while others stay in the dust. Incenaroar was probably not given the green the light due to this games roster mainly focusing on ballot pics(Incenaroar was absent on the ballot), how they would only go of design concepts and the fact that gen 7 is already over. The difference between him and Greninja was that the frog came out around the same time as X and Y, same with Lucario and DP. It's highly plausible that Incenaroar could be leak bate or something of the like. This also explains why during the ESRB leak Mewtwo was given a ? due to the leaker knowing that he was in the game..... but not in the base-roster.

    You said that your source was someone from Microsoft.... yet he knew about all the characters on banner and Inncenaroar? How would somebody from Microsoft know stuff like this? I know you said he could only prove Banjo, but what proof does he have? Just that he works for Microsoft? Sounds fishy if you ask me!

    I think it's him cause there is no part of Mach's bike that even in a remodel would remotely resemble Majora's Mask... what happened to the other half of his body is beyond me though; he might be in a meditative pose or something.

    This is further speculation, but I believe Mach Rider will have to spend the majority of his time off the bike, so there's really no reason he would be pictured on it.

    Hey man. Make sure you double check on your source's credibility. Some guy by the name of "Steve" on ResetERA (he's associated with Nintendo Life) says your source is 100% duping you and you've been wrong on all your Smash info.

    Just looking out for you, you're a genuinue guy so i'd hate for your source to dupe you and you get a ton of backlash because the leak isn't real.

    thank you but im pretty confident, at the very least, i am not being duped. whether the leaks real or fake, im thinking its real more than ever BUT im not 100% sure of that (id have to see some VERY confirming evidence to do that) however i am certain i am not being duped, my source is being genuine with me.

    I dont think i really buy into this theory...but maybe ill cover it if it starts to gain more traction, i just think its highly liklely we'll know all the characters in advance of the games release and not right down to the final week still revealing many characters. but hey who knows

    Absolutely love your videos on Youtube. Geno is my 2nd most wanted character (1st is Isaac from Golden Sun), so I also hope that he gets into Smash Ultimate! And I agree with you on the importance of SMRPG for bringing lore to the Mario series, and for getting more people to know about Square Enix!

    Also, a bit random, but you should look up the Spell Swap glitch for SMRPG if you don't already know about it. It's super fun to mess around with! Would make for an interesting playthrough, especially one with some item/equipment limits! (Since everyone besides Mario can get the Come Back spell)

    No problem, man! And the glitch is very easy to execute and understand how to do (all you need is a Starman Box that is below solid ground), but how it works is a bit more complicated. You will see speedrunners commonly use it to give Peach "Shocker" from Mallow, for example. Sadly, Mario can't learn new spells, since he can't be swapped with other party members. There are also other restrictions. Such as if you have more than 6 spells on one character. it will create a second page. Looks a bit glitchy, but everything works just fine. With the exception of FP, since the FP on the glitched 2nd spell page onwards copies the FP usage of the 1st page of spells for the character you are currently using. I also only recommend swapping some spells (not all), and not the character stats, since that gets boring and too grind-heavy. You also need to have at least 4 party members, since you can't swap Mallow or Geno until you get Bowser. So it's unavailable for a decent portion of the game, sadly.

    Past all of that, it's very fun to use. All you have to do is pause the moment you hit a Starman Box, swap characters, and then use the Starman to defeat enemies at the specific levels where certain spells are learned. The characters you ended up swapping will learn spells based upon the OTHER character's level. And that's basically it!

    To keep the Starman (since they don't respawn), you just have to KO yourself. Which is not too bad to do when you unequip defensive gear, and bide your time with the Goodie Bag. After you KO yourself with stronger enemies, you will keep your level-ups/stats/spells that you earned, and then you can save without losing anything.

    For an extra challenge/reward, you can do a low level run, and it is possible to get Geno Boost with Mallow as he's the only one that's low enough in initial level to be able to get it. So with Mario/Mallow/Geno on your team, you can get 2 Geno Boosts off in a single turn, which is crazy. Glitches work on all versions of the game, too!

    Anyways, you are welcome! Always fun to chat with someone else who likes Geno/SMRPG, so it was nice to meet you. And I would love to see that playthrough, too!

    cool! thanks for the explanation!! yeah ill probably end up playing through mario rpg and recording it at some point, might do this glitch for fun or something just to mix things up i dunno i havent decided what i want to do exactly yet but either way again thanks for the explanation!
