I can't help but feel a little nostalgic about Sakurai's tenure ending today... I know he shouldn't be credited for everything that came out of Smash, but he remains the quintessential creative mind behind the franchise.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the memories. From my Smashwiki-binging elementary school days to my current grind for the title of best K. Rool in my region, you and your team provided me (and countless others) with an invaluable source of joy and escapism.

Welcome home, Banjo. The repatriation process that started with Nintendo's E3 2019 Direct is now complete.

No matter what comes out of this general Direct, experiencing this kind of hype-filled atmosphere after such a long hiatus feels satisfying as heck!

Massive shout-outs to the United Arab Emirates's PR'd players... if you made PR in this country, either you have a massive character roster or you can keep up with players whose pockets aren't Rizeasu-worthy, but still fairly deep.
