The Better Lucario Official Guide/Faq/Database (Now with More Lawl!)

It's a reason to love FD. Wall cling and then hop up and Uair the ledge-hogger for a stage spike. Extra points if doing so nixes your opponent's last stock life.

Lucario watches over and protects us.

Hey Milln, glad everyone is still round 'n about. The future is a strange and glorious place. Full of wonder, slightly on topic thread content, and nifty Lucario discussion. Thankfully Lucario's aura was able to provide the needed 'jigga'-wattage to see me here. I also need to reiterate...

Lucario watches over and protects us.

This is both sad and true. I'm going to be out of town this Friday. Is the game going down next week?

Lucario watches over and protects us.

I've been saved countless times by a well-placed aura stomp whilst recovering resulting in an opponent's attack wiffing. Extra points for fast falling and stomping them there after. In completely unrelated news! It fills me with glee to see that the Lucario boards have returned to their...

    The Root of Weakness

Less recovery and more the ability to stay alive. Some characters are light, but can recover from anywhere and are very hard to gimp like MK and G&W. Others like D3 and Snake just never die. There are plenty of others who have no trouble staying alive, though they're further down on the list...

    The Root of Weakness

No, I didn't. I said that he would be significantly better if not for his recovery. And he would be. Trouble killing seems to be the main reoccurring theme among the weaker characters, though the precise reason they have trouble killing covers a pretty wide set of specifics.

    The Root of Weakness

Considering that some of the best characters in the game (MK, G&W) are very light I don't think that weight has that much of an impact when all is said and done. Some effect certainly, though not as much of one as things like, say, easily punished moves. That's another nasty one. Attacks that...

    The Root of Weakness

I like making topic titles that are nifty >_> *ahem* There are some characters in this game that are fast, powerful, and easily capable of ringing out a foe. And others that are not. The purpose of this thread is fairly simple. I would like to know from you, the Smash community, what...

    Epic K.O.s

Screwing around with a friend of mine for the first time on-line on Halberd with items on. I was using Lucario, he was Ike. On the last stock life I snagged a Smash Ball just as the Dual Cannon's beam locked onto me. So I start crawling toward my friend. He Quick Draws, I go shooting off the...

Walk dodges, jump dodges, and not getting hit

Dtilt tends to be a reasonable way to avoid attacks. Not only does it clank or over-power most of what will get thrown at you, it also places Lucario low enough to the ground to avoid some higher attacks. Stops nearly all rush attacks dead. Nice to throw out there now and again for something...

Does anybody use aerial force palm? And Force Palm L-Cancel

Sadly it's just too slow to be useful in most circumstances, Lucario has better options in the air, as has already been pointed out. Throwing it out as a short-hopped approach can catch people off-guard now and again, but it really isn't much in the way of a staple. Lots of start-up. The...

Lucario is a Monster in Stamina Mode

More or less opinions on Lucy in stamina mode, how it would change his play-style and metagame basically. Also asking for some aid in this little project of mine. And I was considering your comments on Lucario's relative brokenness. Since you weighed in I found that setting the damage ratio...

The MetaGame Collection Thread ~Approaching Options (nondatewise) ~

We've actually got a 'What's your Lucario Play-style' sort of topic buried around here somewhere, it would probably serve as a viable resource to your idea. And yes, Lucario's adaptability is one of his greatest strengths. I've found that switching up my play-style near the end of a match...

Lucario is a Monster in Stamina Mode

Actually more like Soul Caliber than Street Fighter, but that's neither here nor there. And if one is looking for applications to standard Brawl the most obvious would be the ability to practice one's game at a rather specific knock-back level. But yes, clearly the meta-game for Lucario in...

Lucario is a Monster in Stamina Mode

It sure is a good thing that I didn't suggest that this would in any way improve or alter the competitive scene then, huh? Certainly interesting, but I doubt that it would catch on in tournies unless the concept proves to be a really good one. I honestly think that tournaments with L/S...
