ひとつ - mario party mode. Pro rules I found to be a wonderful addition, as well as the ability to vote on the mini-games, even in traditional mario party. I liked the new boards here, especially rainbow galleria. Having western land and mario's rainbow castle here is nice, considering I do miss playing mario party and mario party 2 from time to time. Now king bowser's keep on the other hand, I'm not quite digging it as it quickly proved frustrating. Not surprising; I mean,
isn't known for playing fair. Anyway, most of my time shall continue be spent on this mode, alternating between traditional and pro rules.
ふたつ - minigames. As usual, most of the minigames are good, though the boss, single player coin-collection, and bowser kaboom squad minigames I don't care for. Some of my favorites include snag the flags, light-wave battle, domination, tilt-a-golf, gate key-pers, stamp out!, prime cut, robo-arm wrestle, and even down the hatch. I also wanted to like coin conveyor, but its achievement is ****ing impossible to reach!
Anyways, as for showdown minigames, I particularly liked waluigi's pinball arcade, even though I almost never play on that track in mario kart 8 deluxe. Um, anyway, some of my other favorites were
's and
's showdown minigames. My girls
and
have good showdown minigames as an honorable mention, followed by
and
. As for
and
's showdown minigames, they were meh to me. All that said, I'm never touching
's showdown minigame.
みっつ - motion island. I haven't played this too much 'cause motion controls are so ****ing antsy to me sometimes. This is why I keep motion-controlled minigames turned off in mario party mode. Spent the most time in paratroopa flight school to get most of the achievements in that mode. God damn, the one where I had to make the picture in the sky was quite challenging, but I managed to complete it. I did only the first area of toad's item factory, and didn't touch rhythm kitchen at all since I suck at rhythm.
よっつ - bowser challenges. I ain't ever touching this ****. As a result, I don't even play the koopathlon or bowser kaboom squad minigames. Well, some of the coin-collecting minigames I did play just to earn their achievements. Ain't playing them again.
いつつ - party-planner trek. Not touching this **** either. It takes 50 achievements to not only get max player ranking but unlock the staff credits, too. I just recently got 50 achievements without even touching the sp modes, so there's no point in doing the mode.
そしてむっつ - miscellaneous ****. I liked how it didn't take much to unlock pauline, ninji, and the three other boards. Getting 50 achievements took time but not too difficult. If anyone can complete all 116 achievements, more power to y'all! Me, I'm just content with getting to diamond rank and getting all those reactions, cards, stickers, and ****.
It was also nice of nintendo to offer me a free nso membership. I don't know about using online modes, but I may possibly use their nes and snes library app. I never played or cared about any of those old-school games back in the day, but it's never too late to try some of them.
