Everyone's making a fuss about the characters, but what I'm really concerned about is the stages. If the stages from brawl are mixed in with the new stages, I will be extremely disapointed. Giving Mario 4 new stages while Kirby and Metroid have a whopping zero, is just flat out bad game design.

This is literally a game seller for me. I was hesitant on getting the 3DS version before the Wii U version, but the fact that this game is getting TTYD representation in a stage is enough to convince me to buy this game day 1.

I really want the battle theatre from Paper Mario TTYD to be one of the Mario stages. The audience could throw items onto the arena, and the curtain could close every few minutes and change the background.

If we're counting Japanese only characters here, Sukapon from Joy Mecha Fight is probably the best candidate for a retro character. Sakurai actually considered putting him in Melee, but he had trouble programming limbless characters at the time.
