I'm a long-time Melee player with low-to-moderate technical skill. I'm currently playing Sm4sh Wii U as much as possible. Maybe I can actually improve at it. Sm4sh 3DS was fun, but I've put it somewhere I can't find it, and I'm not sure I mind. I've played Brawl from day one, but it lost it's luster soon after I tripped three times in three seconds. I've played SSB64 several times. That hitstun, though. I've played Project M fewer times than I'd like to have, and have never owned it, though it's not like it'd help me.
I've been at this tournament thing for half a year now, and I'm certainly improving in both Melee and SmUsh, but I haven't had any real breakthroughs yet. Fleeting moments of greatness are all I can muster, and they're few, far between, and too little. Learning all I can from who I can, and trying to massage more tech into my play is all I can do right now.
Also, I feel edge-hogging and wobbling are unsportsmanlike. I'll try not to complain about it too much. Also again, I might have to suck it up and start edge-hogging if I ever want to win Melee tournaments. This game is going to make me hate myself.
