I still love sticking to continuity where it exists (reading No Man's Land before War Games for example) and is obvious, but yeah it don't bug me much to just step off and read something else that has interested me and falls elsewhere in DC's very loose timeline.

God yes. On that note I read Vengeance of Bane 1-2, good stuff there. I actually liked part two way more, surprisingly.

so damn curious what's going to happen with Coyote/Spot! I'm not sure if Spots sudden collapse into himself and deformity was deliberate (being hooked up to that generator thing seemed to teach him how to teleport himself nightcrawler style without a portal) or if it just ****ed his **** up so bad his whole essence was falling apart MC Escher style but man that was cool. And creepy.

But yeah I noticed when Spot grabbed Coyote, he didn't just snatch him from Daredevil... "portals", or whatever Spot and Coyote use to make portals, was leaking onto Coyote's leg like ink.

I have two theories about what this all means for both characters and i really like both of them:

1) Given the weird instability of Spot's form, it's possible that grabbing and "infecting" Coyote with portals like that fused them into one being and consciousness. Applying Darkforce energy to a Darkforce villain seems to seriously **** with them and physics in general given what the machine did to Spot and the collar did to Coyote... and hell, this would even explain why Negs was paying the Spot to spy on Hood back in the day and didn't just use the ol' DF brainwash on him like everybody else. Though that could just be because Negs only uses it on people when he's gotta, I dunno what his ethics are on usin' his power.

Anyways, I ****ing love this possibility because it would revamp Spot some more. And well, Coyote/Spot just go together as it is. As awesomely diabolical as Coyote is his pre-powered life was just "smart criminal", whereas Spot has a cool history to draw from, including a long list of enemies. The two round out a longterm villainous whole really well I think. I admit though that this could be just because I'm a little disappointed that they plot twisted me and had it not actually be Spot but a new Spot-esque character, but I don't mind cuz Coyote owns.

2) Obviously the other option is "it doesn't fuse them together Spot just kidnapped him". This is also cool, though. Spot will obviously still be around the -verse, maybe in a more common and serious capacity than ever since he is so intrinsically tied to Coyote... and also has him in his mercy at the moment. If they aren't fused into a new being I'm sure Spot will have some nefarious and dark punishments in mind for Coyote and the people they worked for. Which means hey, cool story stuff for Spot to get involved in -- and it goes without saying that Coyote kills it on the awesome scale.

This latter possibility also has the possibility of those two fighting, which I think broke my brain, but is amazing to picture. Oh, right, and it looks like Spot might be gaining some kind of new powers if that wasn't a fusion dance, since the inky portal goop bleeding onto Coyote... I don't know what the hell that was doing to the guy but I'm sure it was unpleasant. Then the nightcrawler teleport. And the.... limb.... duplication, or something. That's a new trick Coyote already had too.

All in all very cool stuff, it's too bad I'll probably have to wait six months minimum before we see more of those two haha.

I'm still in Cleveland actually. Decided to just stay here for a while.

I'm at UT: Chattanooga studying business now with a minor in German, also about 15 hours. (One of them is online and teaches me how to use Microsoft Office...had to pay $140 or so for this online thing. Such a joke) I'm an AM at a Dominos out here too. I'm getting a ton of hours, probably a bit more than I should. It's hard to get hw in, or anything for that matter.
