i guess to be fair it's basically just the same stage with a different backdrop. more than likely they just had the SF0 assets on hand and figured it'd be easier to use them than make an entirely new backdrop based on the melee version yeah, this one's back!

i have a big ol' list of songs i really want in smash so i'll just whittle it down to my top 20 a remix of the mario drawing song (a.k.a. special world 8) more songs from paper mario (especially color splash) the crossover songs from MK8, especially big blue more vocal songs from warioware...

i was thinking they'd post the kirby staff credits remix, it'd be a fitting finale

yeah a lot of the new songs in ultimate were cases of "wow, they hadn't remixed that already?". like, this really is the first game with a twilight princess remix, which is strange considering the zelda characters were based on twilight princess for two games in a row

i'm glad this time around they kind of realized they don't need to re-remix themes that have already been done, like the zelda overworld theme or DK island swing or mute city. they did do repeats in some cases where it wasn't really necessary (wrecking crew medley comes to mind) but for the main...

death mountain is the BEST, i love how it incorporates the game over theme and even the item get theme

i think smash associates gerudo valley more with sheik but yeah we've got death mountain and calamity ganon phase 2

as far as we know that was probably the star fox assault version of the song

i do think i like the new earthbound remixes but i think they fit most on new pork city and fourside, where they give off the big-city urban feel, and not necessarily for the more intimate settings of magicant and onett
