If they gave link a more powerful boomerang (like the one in smash 64) and a better recovery, he would be a decent character.

Personally, I'd give Sonic a new Side-B like the boost or something and make him have more killing potential. Make his dash attack have less ending lag and tweak the homing attack just a bit and he will be fine.

Give him his trusty sniper rifle from Star Fox Assault and he will be great.

Either the star spin or just give him back his classic Mario Tornado from Smash 64. And make his fireballs have more range.

Couldn't agree more. Ganon needs SOMETHING that makes him NOT a clone of Falcon. They aren't even from the same franchise, so why would they be even remotely related moveset wise. He uses a sword in multiple LOZ games so they should at least reference that in his fighting style. (excluding taunts)

Agreed. I think that since Namco is a huge part of the production of the game, one of their characters will probably show up. But only if the fans demand it. Besides, Pac-Man could fit in like Captan Falcon did in the original smash. He may not be a fighter, but he could potentially fit very well.

I would consider Mario being the single best beginners character because his learning curve isn't TOO high and he has a very good projectile. Decent recovery (if you use his down-B for extra horizontal distance) and has a good air game, with a decent throw.

Totally agree. I main Jiggs and Falcon and Jiggs is super deadly if you use a simple DAIR into Up-tilts (up to about 90%) into an Up-Smash or rest.
