I started playing N64 with my siblings and cousins back when the game fist came out only when we went to my uncle's apartment. The adults would always complain that we never participated with family bonding. What they didn't understand was that this was our family bonding. We wouldn't see each other very often and none of us owned our own console so when we came around it was always a fun competition to see who was the best and what we learned between then and the last time we played. Over the years we all became very excited with Melee and Brawl and continued to play. I, personally was very focused on becoming stronger and being better than my cousin who is my same age and would destroy me with Fox. Then we unlocked Marth and my gaming life changed forever. I never knew anything about the competitive field or about combos, but Marth resonated with me and so I never let him go until after I started actually getting into the competitive scene. Much has changed since the old days, but this game is still very sentimental to me <3
