The irony: complain about wanting a new DK every opportunity I get and then not being all too satisfied whenever it finally happens with Bananza.

Just know am sensitive when it comes to my favorite series. I just hope Diddy is playable. I don't really think so and that feeling sucks. The game looks amazing yet... I just wanted this ONE thing.

If there's no new Donkey Kong for Switch 2, I might just stick with the old system until it comes eventually. Am hoping for the best tomorrow.

Just now started to play Mario Oddyssey , man did I miss out! Traded this game for Super Mario RPG with a coworker, best deal ever so far lol. Still... the feeling remains I wish we ever got a DK game on this scale. Maybe that's why I never played it before, its confrontational in a way.

Having lots of fun with AI chats asking which Smash characters would beat the other based on canon source material. These threads we had here where also amusing , and I think AI would solve these debates for once and for all.

Also Mewtwo is OP and seems to beat mostly anyone so far. So there's that.

Bravely Default 2 is actively keeping me away from Echoes of Wisdom. Got in on release but BD2 got me in an unexpected way. It feels... Golden Sun-y. And I like that. Any other RPG recommendations?

I believe Diddy was actively planned for Melee but scrapped sort of at a late stage. He has no trophy at all for example why Dixie and K.Rool do. Event Match 2 has you fighting a large regular color DK and a smaller red color DK, I always found that curious. The Rare buyout probably had something to do with this too. Also, his Brawl Dojo reveal spoke of his late arrival.

Junebug's DK is amazing, losing only to Cody and Mango. Haven't even checked all the matches yet but HYPE AS ****! Melee DK is High Tier now, no way around it.

Tomorrow is my birthday, and my youngest siblings gave me an "illegal" ROM player shaped like a Gameboy Color, able to play SNES, GBA, DS games, you name it. Needless to say, am playing the SNES DKC games again first.

Story time, I was born in 1990 and in the 90s, DKC was huge. Culturally too. Learned of the game's existence at my aunts and played it first with my cousins. Loved it and eventually around December I got my own SNES. Been identifying myself with Diddy a lot, also cause I felt it attracted the right attention with my family, wearing a red cap basically till I was 11 years old. And always playing the games with friends and you name it. I felt more connected with my own family because of it back then. Just a few years later I got my account here and my "Diddy thing" transfered over to Smash Bros. and found my old youth passion back in this in a way.

Playing Skyward Sword HD. Lots of nostalgic experiences playing it, yet it doesn't feel like it's been so long since I played it on the Wii. Amazing game still. In many way it perfected the 3D Zelda formula, and story is even better. Usage of items throughout the game and side quests are also great. Underrated gem for sure.

Played through Tropical Freeze again after not touching my Switch for months. Hard Mode Diddy run is what I've been looking out for, and still makes this game all that more worth to play.
