He's also praised the original Sonic and Minecraft, I think a few others as well. I would have loved to hear his opinions on Titanfall when he played it at E3 2013. I'm unsure on Croc because as far as I'm aware the only source on that is an interview with Jez San 15 years after the fact, and he amended it with the part about Miyamoto loving the Croc prototype later on on top of that.

Those are really interesting! I actually should've put Sonic there in the first place since the quote on him liking Plok says that he considered Plok the #3 best platformer behind Sonic and Mario, I guess I have the excuse of him not actually stating which Sonic game specifically, heh.
