i think the "iconic" argument exists in most stuff like this to a certain extent, but it's not helped when games like multiversus deliberately promote themselves as including "icons" of the wb lineup, for instance - which could possibly be alleviated with a more casual, fun feel, but i guess it doesn't sell as much when the stakes aren't as high

also, not directly related to your post, but blanka in mvc would go really hard. so would doop actually.

Holy frick, doubting if Tweety is iconic or not sure is something alright.

That bird's known even on rural Spain.

It's the sad inevitability of giant IP crossovers, it seems.

I guess that's part of the appeal to my weird OmniVersus concept, it's sort of a rejection of any arguments about being "iconic" and whatnot. It's just like "here, you have the powers of God and you can play as any character, now shut the hell up and be happy", lmao.

its something you never hear about marvel vs capcom because the series is well known for having a bunch of more obscure or weird picks in the past like phoenix wright, shuma gorath, or anakaris, so like, no one really cares

Well I recall someone wasn’t pleased with some of the picks on my MVC roster saying I would say yes
