Remember Me from Coco is used weirdly

Coco spoilers I guess?

The movie explicitly shows that the upbeat and commercialized version of the song is the one by the bad guy, and is shown to be a complete bastardization of the original, so using it in a positive context is against the story. But IRL because the original lullaby version is an easy way to make most people cry on command, everyone kind of always uses the upbeat one or a different commercialized one so they don't have to deal with that.

if you really need to use an upbeat song from Coco, Un Poco Loco is right there, that one is underrated, so is La Llorona

In terms of Smash I still see a lot of talk about how Cloud and Joker shouldn't be in because they are very much not associated with Nintendo

My 2 biggest problems with NSO music

1. No composer credits, that is like a basic feature for any music platform and even Smash Ultimate had it

2. They don't use the official album art for soundtracks that were officially released

You guys already used high quality art of Mario Galaxy's soundtrack for 3D all-stars, use it here!!! The way you are using the box art looks bad!!!

The misuse of the phrase "official canon" with these pokemon leaks is starting to really pet my peeve.

No, I doubt the documents made more than a decade ago, that were never meant to be seen by the public, and leaked through a breach of employees data, is considered the official canon of the series.

I finally created a new online presence for myself with a new YouTube video and a bunch of new accounts on Social Media, finally ready to start doing stuff in regards to content creation like I've wanted to do for years

This might actually have been the worst time to do it. Algorithms are dog ****, there is basically no discoverability anywhere and Corporations really really want personal data from new accounts (I cannot think of any non malicious reason why YouTube either needs a 30 second video of my face or my photo ID. I will do the "wait a few months" option instead)

Not to mention how there is so much finicky stuff like no longer being able to share Block lists on Twitter. And just the general en****tification of the Internet.

I finally saw the trailer for it while in the theater but something about the artstyle of that War of the Rohirrim doesn't feel right

I'm not really a Tolkien Scholar and I'm a very casual fan of that universe, but the artstyle, while very pretty, doesn't feel very "Whimsical" like I personally think it should, I think Live Action does work well for the universe when done right but when it comes to animation, I think a lot more stylization like the Ralph Bakshi LOTR or Rankin Bass Hobbit are the best ways to go.

I also might just be nuts and I am too attached to things that already exist.

I went to pick up Echoes of Wisdom but then it dawned on me just how ****ing stacked this year has been for games that I did not end up picking it up because of not only the several games I haven't picked up yet (Granblue Relink, Astro Bot, VII Rebirth, Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, The MVC Collection, Gundam Breaker 4, The Epic Mickey Remaster, AAI Collection) and then the next several months has even more games I am excited for (Sonic x Shadow, Sparking Zero, Mario Party, PlanCo 2, Mario and Luigi)

I still really want Echoes of Wisdom but I have to prioritize and budget this **** first.

I used to love Guest characters in fighting games but now that every fighting game has one and with a lot of other large crossover games like Fortnite, It has lost its luster.
