i get this is a ship of thesus situation with a 40 year gap but how the **** did the same company that made the utter banger mappy also make this trashheap.

redeeming qualities of smash ultimate:
-it is not a zip bomb that makes your switch explode
-it does not spread kill agents through the switch fan vents
-it does not contain 1-frame-long nazi subliminal messages
-you can press the home or power button to turn it off
-duck hunt is in it (this literally does not matter)
-little mac does not reach through the screen and punch you to death
-not directly linked to joy con drift
-World of Light actually isn't that bad, it's rather creative with a good gameplay loop on paper, if it was attached to a better game and didn't try to be so edgy with its cutscenes/bosses I'd say its one of my favourite single-player modes in a multiplayer game.
-has not been used by elon musk to experiment on monkeys
-bowser does not say slurs
-is technically not the worst game ever because super smash bros. brawl exists
-the buttons work (sqij is still a better game though)
-no reported heart attacks (berzerk still better)
-does not have images of real poop used as textures (spongebob bfbb still better)
-does not contain detailed instructions on how to commit arson on a childrens hospital
-reminds me how good nickelodeon all-star brawl (2021) is
