I would say the closest thing Smash has to that currently is being able to air dodge to avoid certain final smashes if you time it right. I don’t even think it was intended as a mechanic but it is pretty fun although it’s pretty inaccessible to casual players and a lot of people might not understand it. I guess my point is I agree that would be a great mechanic
