I was outdoors in the cold when it happened so probably, although it’s happened to me indoors too so I’m not entirely sure

This used to happen to me. There are some phone batteries that are badly affected by the cold. They can hold the charge properly and shut down. Eventually it got so bad it’d shut down even if it was nice out but the phone itself was cold. I don’t know how to fix it. In the end I got a new one

Mines an iPhone so I guess it’s not exclusive to one phone

Well my old phone that did that was an iPhone as well so it’ll be worth checking on the type of battery and if it’s affected by the cold. You should probably do the same
