To be fair I can understand fans wanting more reference in older moveset like DK, especially in special moves, but yeah some fans thake it way too far and expect DK to basically not punch because him punching is not lore accurate and his jab should reference DK Barrel blast instead or something.

I wonder why people who complain about DK punching and kicking people don’t also complain about Inkling punching and kicking people.

the real question is what stanley supershark does in his home series if not biting

DK has been throwing punches in his games ever since Donkey Kong Country Returns anyway. Heck, you might be able to make the argument that he’s doing so since Donkey Kong 64.
