When I was in like the sixth grade my friend said “yeah I’d bet Mario has been around since the 50s” and when I asked him why he said it’s because Super Mario 64 came out in 1964. I then said it’s called that because of rhe N64 and he said “well why can I play it on the DS then?”

I had a dream I met someone who had a minor role in the first Hunger Games movie (a movie I never watched) so I watched it. It was set in a normal modern high school for some reason and Jordan Peele played a character. Later (outside of the movie) someone was complaining about Squeaky Clean Sprint from Mario Kart 8 and they seemed deeply apologetic when I told them “I think it’s cool because Mario is a plumber”

I don’t like it when people boil down the appeal of Dynasty Warriors type games to “people like them because it’s satisfying to hit lots of enemies”.

They’re not the deepest games in the world but I like the strategy elements where you have to prioritize what missions to do and places to capture. The games can eventually get pretty stressful when there’s a lot happening at once too

I really think they missed out on the opportunity to market sand land better when it was being released on Disney+. It’s would have been pretty niche in the west anyways, but I’d bet they could get some general audiences to watch it if they played into the aspects of the story that make it look more “Pixar-like”
