Kiiiiiiiinda, but I'm thinking more along the lines of what you'd see at a Disney park.

I seem to recall there was some old disney game where you played as guys dressed as disney characters. but I don't think that was quite what you were thinking of either

i feel like this kinda thing would lend a lot better to a deliberately cartoonish party fighter for the most part - maybe akin to something like gang beasts. could be neat to have the game's "health" meter be determined by how much of your costume is left, with ordinary suit actors underneath, so they're "knocked out" if their costume is destroyed?

actually it also occurs to me that you could totally do a tongue-in-cheek kaiju/tokusatsu type game with this exact concept but with digitised sprites of people in actual costumes. that could be a ton of fun come to think of it

So what inspired this idea was actually... well you know how I mod Marvel Ultimate Alliance right? When I transfer more cartoonily-proportioned models, they initially come out looking like... this.

I apply a "scale factor" code in the final releases to make them more "canon accurate" but at the "normal scale" they're actually pretty amusing and remind me of how these costumes look... and then I wondered what a whole game where they look like this would... look like.

ooooh, that's actually pretty fun! and... honestly, i think it'd be really fun to explore, but also the kind of game that i think would rely pretty heavily on animations, both to determine mood and to more effectively explore those cartoonish proportions. (like the two-handed waves a lot of mascot-wearers do, indicating an excited wave.)

nick fury's probably not even fazed at this point LMAO
