Best recovery for sheik?

I find recovery troublesome while playing as sheik. If worst comes to worst, I usually transform into Zelda as her up+B is much longer than Sheik's. Any better way to survive a 'no return' attack as sheik?

I've never had much of a problem with her recovery. fair as you double jump to give yourself a little boost in distance, and learn to DI properly so there are few "no return" attacks.

1) use fairs, typically, depending on how fair awway you are, use it to get out of tumble, then use 1 or 2 after your double jump on the way back

2) double stick DI. press your joystick towards the stage and up, and your c-stick towards the stage and down. it works really well against most continuous knockoff moves like samus's bair or marth's non-tipper forward smash (at lower %s)

3) i've been trying to get more ledge cancelled recoveries in. i can't say much more, but i'll post a vid soon.

4) if you get close enough on a flat walled stage like yoshi's story, walljump bair-->up+B instead of just up+B

It's different with different opponents. For falco, i usually just drop down and then fair uair on my way back up. Marth is a bit more trickier because of his long reach. I usually would just jump on quick and dodge, possibly with a wave dash or land considering the situation.

I see no drawback in transforming to Zelda to get back on stage if necessary. A ledgehop'd fair can give you the space to transform back. Or your opponent can mess up on their edgeguard. I mean, why NOT try to save your stock?

because you lose your invincibility time when you transform back after you respawn.

mind explaining this more?
your joystick will pretty much give you your trajectory, but your c-stick in addition adds resistance to movement. so, you use the joystick to make your trajectory as short as possible but also up to allow yourself better recovery than being away and down (towards the stage and up), and you use your c-stick to give yourself resistance from moving too far away and up (towards the stage and down). double stick DI does crazy sheezy. if you haven't seen magus's examples, just watch this:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=NFxdYCr5yAI

he uses the c-stick down and the joystick down and then uses moves to stall at the edge and kill knockback. it's redankulous.

the only time double stick DI can be pointless is once you can't help but up+b recover vs. a samus or marth. samus's bair is a continuous hell and so is the back of marth's nair from an edgehop.

What I do to recover from afar is the Zelda thing. However I suggest you learn how to use Zelda as well, it comes in handy. Once youre safely back, be evasive. If your opponet has sufficent damage, try to throw them away from you so you have time to transform back into Sheik. If your opponet has low damage, attack them and build damage to throw them away. When you throw them aim for the closest ledge. Not sure if this will help but its the best I can offer.
