Could Lucina Be Marth's Alt Costume?

I wonder if Lucina is going to be an alt costume for Marth... she's obviously a clone and it'd be awesome to introduce alt costumes with different names as well as gender and voice actors since with Robin the different voice actor alt costumes are shown as possible. What do you guys think> Don't flame me for this... it's only a thought , and an interesting idea I think.

I'm surprised they're not upset that she's a clone... because all of er moves and her taunt pretty much screamed it.

Maybe that's why she's been treated like an individual character rather than plain-off stating she's not.

Yup! I am now full of ideas though. We might see things such as Mrs. Pacman, Protoman, Shadow, Roy, Daisy, etc...

For representation, or just to quickly fill up a character slot to make the roster and even block. Just like a lot of the newcomers in Melee, actually!

She's her own character pretty neutral on the whole clone thing. I'm glad she's in regardless Fire Emblem needed a female representative although I was originally opting for Lyn.

She's beyond your typical clone, tho. Her movements, moveset and EVEN HER IDLE STANCE are identical. The only thing that indicates her being a separate character slot is the box on the Smash website. Thus far she could be the cloniest clone in Sm4sh

She's not an Alt Costume. She's a clone. It'd be like making a Falco alt for Fox or making a Toon Link alt for Link.

Famitsu confirms Lucina WAS going to be an alt of Marth, which also means that alternate characters as costumes IS a viable option. Then again, it might just be because she looked like Marth, anyway. That said, we can officially confirm now that Marth probably doesn't have his own costume, because what was going to be his costume was changed into a separate character late in development.

I know you were responding to someone else and I was not responding to anything you have said. I was just declaring that the thread should be locked now that Sakurai officially stated that Lucina will be her own character.

Lucina uses the same techniques as Marth, a fighter with whom I'm sure most of you are already familiar.
