So, from the last direct we now have the understanding there will be some customization for our fighters, or at least their B moves. Considering that mario used a large slow fireball and a straight forward, no flinch fireball, we can assume for the time being that nearly every character would most likely get 2 alterations of each of their B moves. These alterations seem to vary from smaller or larger versions of attacks (Marios fire ball and Pits arrows), to changing core mechanics of the move itself (Mario's coinless Up-B and Kirby's ice breath). I think there is a lot of potential to be had here and with that said, what kind of alterations to Bowser's B moves could you see? Two different variations of each B move remember.

I could imagine the Koopa Claw from Melee being one of Bowsers alternate F-B's, and maybe a charge up Fire Ball for an alternate B (maybe resembling the fireballs from the First Mario Bros, when inside the castles.

Share your ideas here.

B: Fast fireball, slow blue fireball
Side B: Koopa Klaw, Poison Bite (one powerful bite that poisons victim briefly)
Up B: Vertically Spinning Whirling Fortress (gives more height), Magical Teleport (gives off dark magic during the initial startup, can direct direction of teleport)
Down B: Bowser Bomb with Shockwave, Flying Stomp (attack from Mario Galaxy, landing on feet and causing a shockwave, and can direct the angle of the fall)

B
  1. His firebreath.
  2. A large, slow, and powerful fireball.
  3. A small and slow homing fireball.

I think the customization works by adding different properties from other characters. Like marth had Little Mac's straight lounge properties so he went far,DK had Mac's super armor, Kirby Ice Climbers's down B(they'l probably be in), Mario ZSS's new up B and so on.

So with the other costumes for bowser shown if his final smash is giga bowser (which is very possible). Lets say I choose a darker bowser would giga bowser be darker as well because, in brawl no matter what the color bowser was his giga form was always the same color?

I want him to spit Goombas out and use blue Koopa shells as boxing gloves.

Well now that we know there are 2 other variants of his special moves, here's my breakdown:
N: maybe some kind of roar attack, & a projectile fireball
Side: Koopa Claw from melee & a suplex move that goes horizontally instead of vertically
Can't think of any for his down & Up however

It seems that Costum Moves change properties, not animation. So that would bomb Forward B being Melee Koopa Klaw barring projectile animation.

B: Chargeable Fireball. Uncharged comes out fast and is used to zone. Fully charged takes 5 seconds and can be stored. Travels at medium speed and has huge knockback.

Side B: Make it plant you in the ground when he lands.

Down B: Make is slow as **** but make it an instant KO.

Up B: Reduce that ending lag LOL.

B: Either chargeable fireball, or larger fire breath.
Side B: Possibly increase the knockback.
Up B: Reduce the ending lag, and make it more vertical.
Down B: Add a shockwave.

Neutral B - Acts like Young Link's fire arrows, leaving behind some non flinching flame.
Side B - Normal
Up B - A Samus version which goes vertical keeps the opponent stuck in and can kill off the top.
Down B - Faster but weaker.

Neutral B - Spits out three consecutive fireballs at once
Side B - Increased damage but less knockback
Up B - Able to perform this twice in a row
Down B - Less damage but more knockback

I'm gonna wreck it! (Fort Myers)
:GCB::

Fire Shot: Does the small and quick fire shots that Bowser tends to use in many Mario games. They travel as far as one of Pit's updated arrows.

Vacuum: Bowser sucks everything toward him with longer range than Kirby or Dedede, but doesn't function as an attack like theirs does. (Bowser's Inside Story)

:GCB::GCU::

Fortress: If used on the ground, just acts as a protective shell, with the top having a hitbox. It doesn't spin and Bowser can stay in it for as long as Kirby's stone. Vulnerable to throws and attacks from the side. In air, it covers more horizontal distance but has no control. (Origin: Bowser's Inside Story)

Galaxy Fortress: Has a longer start up on the ground but travels a far distance ahead and will clank with every move in the game. In the air it functions the same way. It is accompanied by a darkness effect to be reminiscent of Bowser's Spin Attack from Mario Galaxy that did the same thing. (Origin: Mario Galaxy)

:GCB::GCR::

Bowser Quake: Only does the first half of Bowser's Flying Slam animation and then falls back down in his regular fast-falling air animation. When he makes contact with the ground, he creates a shockwave that goes across the stage. The first half of his flying slam animation can be canceled early so that he can do rapid shockwaves. Because Bowser does not need to grab an opponent for this move, he can use it as an effective vertical recovery.

Due to the the hefty advantages this move now gives, it does not function as a throw and it has no hitbox at all until Bowser touches the ground. He also can not control his jump like he can with the regular Flying Slam. (Origin: Super Mario 64/Mario Galaxy)

Flying Bowser: Bowser does the animation for flying slam without the opponent. The move has super armor and if Bowser hits the opponent while flying he takes them with him for the rest of the animation. Kind of like an anti-air throw.

VV(If alternate animations end up being used for more characters)VV

Bowser Ball: Bowser curls up into a ball and rolls toward the opponent at somewhat faster than Fox's dash speed. It does a lot of damage to shields and has heavy armor for anything lower than 12% damage. (Mario Galaxy/Bowser's Inside Story)

:GCB::GCD::

Bowser Quake: Has a shorter jump when on the ground, but creates a shockwave that travels far and slow. Has no super armor.

Bowser Brake: Bowser can stop the Bowser Bomb animation at any point during it, but it does less damage.

This has probably been said a whole lot but, It would be perfect for a custom moveset.

Anyways...not a Bowser main but here are my thoughts:

Default

Neutral B: Flame Breathe
Side B: Flying Slam
Up B: Whirling Fortress
Down B: Bowser Bomb

Custom #1

Neutral B: Flame Bombs
(seen in the Amiibo trailer)
Side B: Flying Press (slams and grounds the opponent. Does less damage)
Up B: Thundering Fortress (much faster than before, less powerful, adds electric damage)
Down B: Hover Bomb (Holding down B causes Bowser to hover momentarily in the air. The player can move Bowser slightyl. Letting o of B causes Bowser to go straight down.

Custom #2
Neutral B: Flame Burst
(Holding down B charges the attack and letting go causes Bowser to erupt a massive fire explosion from his mouth)
Side B: Flying Bounce (Bowser performs the attack but then bounces when landing while holding the player for additional damage)
Up B: Flaming Fortress (slower, does more damage, adds fire damage)
Down B: Whirling Bomb (Bowser spins in the air while falling dealing more knock back damage if the enemy comes into contact in mid-air)

I was particularly excited by the idea of a fireball, since it would reference the older Mario games. So thanks to the many users who posted about that. Thanks for confirming it as move which actually appears in the game, Erotic&Heretic! But I am surprised no one typed this: one of Bowser's up special variants could involve wall bouncing! I thought of this before special move variants were revealed, so I now have reasonable hope it happens! This up special variant would reference how most Koopa shells bounce from wall to wall in Mario games. Perhaps it would be faster and weaker than the normal Whirling Fortress.

I support the Super Mario Bros fireball as neutral B.

So uh Bowser's custom moves are kind of crazy good. His Side B 2 is a dashing command grab that also has 0 landing lag. You can short hop spam this move and it will beat out both rolls and shields and potentially lead to bowsercides (which you now win by default during the last stock). Oh yeah you can use it recover too.

His UpB3 lets you do the old melee upB out of shield trick except this time you can fortress across the entire length of FD. It also has pretty good knockback.

If you combine these two specials you can do crazy stuff like space with short hop sideBs into shield canceled fortresses or another sideB or anything really. Kind of weird how this is probably the only special move in the game now that still cancels on landing.

Bowser is one of those characters I feel really torn about what customs to use on him, because all of them seem fairly viable.

For instance, while his dashing slam custom is good and all, the fact you can combo into his back air at KO percents off a late hit on the dash claw custom is also really nice.
