On August 14th, Delzethin released a new Challenger Approaching video. This time, he takes a look at Takamaru from The Mysterious Murasame Castle! Takamaru is a challenger who was briefly considered for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, with the only obstacle being a lack of overseas familiarity.
WARNING - CHALLENGER APPROACHING

Takamaru has been on Smash fans' radars for a while, a retro character hoping to jump from Assist Trophy to newcomer next game! But how COULD he work as a playable fighter?
The newest episode of Challenger Approaching is live on Youtube now! pic.twitter.com/8JcBc9FLDR
Takamaru is designed to be a hit & run zoner who keeps opponents at bay and strikes when the time is right. Many of his normal and special moves hail from The Mysterious Murasame Castle and Takamaru’s appearance in Samurai Warriors 3. Takamaru’s special moves include the Windmill Sword, an attack he uses as an Assist Trophy.
The video ends with five characters as part of a poll. Mallow, Akira Howard, Oatchi, Mallow and 2B are candidates for the next episode of Challenger Approaching.
Interested in the rest of the concept? Then feel free to watch the rest of the video below!
Author’s Note: I actually like how Del translated both of Takamaru’s playable appearances into this moveset. What do you think of this moveset? As always, let us know in the comments below!
