Outside of the top three there will still be some serious talent in attendance that could certainly cause one of those upsets and make one of those three miss out on a top spot. Let's take a look at some of the other top threats in attendance!
First we have Overtriforce from Spain. He unfortunately has a losing record against both Armada and Ice and bracket projections make it look like he'll hit Armada early and if he's sent to losers will also probably have to face either Westballz or Ice so he's got a very tough bracket ahead of him.
Next let's take a look at reaper from Germany. He too has a tough hill to climb. My bracket predictions show him having a very high chance of having to face Ice early on in the top 32 and with whom he also has quite a losing record. If he's sent down early he'll have a long loser's bracket run and have to potentially face names like Ares, Daumling, and previously mentioned Overtriforce to try and place high.

There's a good chance we'll see some excellent Dr. Mario play from Eagle at this event. He's the top ranked player from Denmark according to the Smash Europe rankings and is also the best Dr. Mario in Europe. He'll have some tough challenges as well as if he can get through some other strong talent in front of him he'd likely face Armada near round 3 of the top 32. This could mean he might have to fight through names like King Funk, NamiNami, Zoler, and either Ice or Westballz to make it to the top.
Speaking of Zoler, this Swedish Fox is another name to look out for a potentially high placement. He too would likely come up against either King Funk or NamiNami as well as Overtriforce and possibly have to take down Adam or peki to place high.
Däumling is another big name from Germany at the event. Unfortunately he is also set to potentially face Armada early on and Peach vs Ice Climbers especially with the skill level involved is probably to big a barrier to overcome. He'd then face a hard losers bracket run where he would potentially come up against reaper and quiK both of whom he lacks winning records against.
These are just some of the top names shown to do well in prediction brackets; there are certainly others worth mentioning as well that have either even harder roads to overcome, who use interesting characters, or are top threats that could potentially pull off upsets in bracket. We've even mentioned some of these already so let's give out some details!
First some guys who main the ladies! We have quiK and Fauster from Germany and France respectively that are strong Samus mains seen doing well often in bracket. We also have Ares who is not only the second ranked player from Austria but is also one of the top five Peaches in Europe. Many strong spacies mains will be in attendance including King Funk, peki, Adam, /inflict, NamiNami, and AE. all of whom are top threats in their respective regions.
The Mario Brothers have their own reps at this event as well! Both Blayd and Jah Ridin', both in the top five Luigis in Europe, will be at the event. Eagle's Dr. Mario won't be the only big name Mario in appearance either as SchlimmShady will be bringing the best Mario in Europe to compete.
There will also be a few mains of lesser seen characters set to enter the event that could lead to some cool matchups playing out. Moe is coming from Denmark and will show what one of the few dedicated Donkey Kong mains of Europe can achieve at a large scale event. CheAkiwara, currently the highest ranked Ness in Europe, comes to fight on his home turf. We also have Aether who's coming all the way from France to show what the best Link in Europe can do.
Some of these big names as well as others are set to enter Project M singles as well. Some of the best confirmed entrants include Armada, pheX, MISTRRLOVE, Yomi, King Funk, ProsmasherTim, VilNess, Eagle, reaper, Blaze, Blayd, and more.
This tournament is definitely not one that you want to miss. It's set to take place on September 26th and 27th and will be streamed by GeekyGoonSquad. More information on the event is available on its Smash.gg page. Don't miss out on some of this great European Smash!
