Event Preview: Smash Summit

A 32k Melee singles pot that is the largest in Melee history, friendlies, behind the scenes interviews, fan interactions, special gameplay challenges and more. All of this and more is at Smash Summit. Ten of the most skilled Melee players were invited to participate in this event by media company Beyond the Summit with another six being voted in to attend by fans.

The talent among invited players alone is massive with Armada, Mang0, PPMD, Mew2King, Plup, Axe, Westballz, PewPewU, Lucky and Shroomed (who had to replace Leffen due to issues with his visa). Among those players who were voted on to attend the event are other great talents and fan favorites like SFAT, S2J, Zhu, Kage the Warrior, Swedish Delight, and Alex19.

The event also had a very successful fundraiser done on Smash.gg that allowed several special events to take place alongside larger prize pools. Some of these things unlocked include:

• $3.2k Challenge round (50% from Donations)
• Mirror Event added to Challenge Round
• $500 Iron Man Challenge
• $1,500 Double Draft Crew Battle
• Game of Mafia with all the players

Special Challenges Players Participate In During The Event ​

Smash the summit is set to take place across four days from November 5th through 8th with these challenges, singles matches, friendlies, and more all as part of the viewing action.
