what do u guys think the first week sales of brawl will be in the US and Japan?

The first week will probably be very chaotic between smash fans.....sure hope u reserved a copy

More than Galaxy, not as much as Halo 3 (obviously)

True, but in the long run, Brawl will sell better. Just because they are console sellers and Nintendo sells more consoles.

Unlike Halo 3, high profile Nintendo games take a little while to pick up in sales. They sure as hell didn't blow Japan away. I mean, yeah, this is Brawl, the follow up to the Gamecube's best-selling game, and the system it's on has a huge userbase which already destroys the Gamecube's in size and potential. But, I can't trust Japan especially after how much time Mario Galaxy took to pick up the pace there, especially in comparison to the U.S.
However, those **** are buying up Mario and Sonic at the Olympics like nobody's business, so who knows?
In my opinion, if Halo 3 solid a few mil in its first couple of days, then I don't see why Brawl shouldn't do the same. But, I'm not setting my hope too high for it. I want the game to do well because of it's high production value and high profile among Nintendo games and games in general, but I'm not going to say that it's going to sell at a number even half of the Wii's userbase.
