Introduction
Okay, here's something I've been considering starting for a while, but had to figure out how to go about. Basically, I believe that like we now have a standardized codeset, we could really use somewhat of a commonly used set of textures for everybody, if they'd like. Why? Because not only would this really set Brawl+ apart from Vanilla Brawl, but there's not many full sets of texture packs out there, and some of those (No offense) could use some work.
The Goal:
The end goal here is to get a large amount of the Brawl+ userbase using the same set of textures, that have been agreed upon. Not only would this end up with things looking a lot nicer, but we should have a COMPLETE set of textures together, with everything working - Character Select Portraits, in-battle portraits, the whole shabang. I know there's a lot of people that prefer to put their own sets of textures together, but I think that there are more people than just want high-quality textures, and don't feel like digging through other people's packs, getting turned off by some odd, low quality packs.
However, to come up with a set of textures that really works, we're going to have to have some guidelines.
The Guidelines:

We've got a crapton of textures to pull through, that's for sure. So we're going for the highest quality textures that we can get our hands on. Not only appropriate, but they have to blend in well with the existing game. Here are some requirements for textures.
- Must fit into the Brawl aesthetic well, as well as work for the character their placed on. (Madworld Ganondorf looks cool, but you're blind if you think he doesn't stand out like a sore thumb)
- Must not be overly sexual. (Bikini ZSS may work, but no nudity.)
- MUST work well for a color replacement, for team colors. (No brown texture replacing Blue-Link.)
- Must be glitch free. (Obviously)
- Must be better than the texture that is being replaced.
- Must have a relatively matching counterpart for characters with transformations or replacements. (Such as Zelda-Sheik and the Pokemon Trainer.)
- Must not give the player any unfair advantages. (Visibility should not be an issue.)
- (Here's one I may get flak for) Leave the #0 textures alone. Why? Because this is Smash Bros. The original characters need to still be in the game, without "NES Mario" replacing his default texture.
"What can I do?"
You're a reasonably competent fellow, aren't you? You got taste, and preferences, and you want to have a say in what you have to look at? Or at least, what you have to look at if you decide to download this pack? If so, feel free to submit any textures that you want! However, realize that this is not a texture request thread. This is for submitting textures that you'd like to see in a community Brawl+ texture pack.
All you have to do should be simple - Find some textures that you believe follow the above criteria, and you'd like to see in the game. Post a link to where the texture can be downloaded, as well as 1-2 screenshots that show off the character well. No, a closeup of the character's face doesn't work well for a preview.
Choosing Textures:
People have differing opinions, that's for sure. The point of this thread is to find a set of textures that works best for a majority of the people. As such, EVERY TEXTURE IS PUT TO VOTE. Even those textures that don't have any "competition," will, as every poll done for every character color will have the option to retain the original.
However, polling won't be for a little while, at least. Polling will start when we've got a collection of textures that at least cover a fair spread of character/color possibilities, then people will be able to vote on what textures that they like the best. And as said before, every poll will have the option to retain the original texture instead of changing it. Don't fix what isn't broken. Or don't fix what is cool. Or at least don't fix what doesn't have a cooler, feasible option available, I suppose.
