SoulOfSmash
Smash Journeyman
With the school year upon us and the other regular Charlotte tournament series starting back up Frame Perfect Sunday will be switching back to its original monthly schedule. This month we will be having Melee and Project M singles, and for the side event we are running Project M Omega (aka All Stars/Legends, more information below.) Also this is the last opportunity to receive free entry to our regional coming up in October PM:Unchained. So I hope to see you all out to play some smash, enjoy the competition, or just hang out!
For everything except the stage selection we use the Apex 2014 ruleset, including character selection and stage striking. However, we will be using a new stage list I've been working on with other TO's in the region. Since the Apex site no longer has the rules up here's a link if you are unfamiliar: PROJECT M RULESET
Green-Starter/Neutral Stages: 1-2-1 Starter Striking
These stages are available all rounds but are the only ones available for round 1.
-Green Hill Zone
-Pokémon Stadium 2
-Smashville
-Battlefield
-Dreamland 64
Yellow-Counter Pick Stages: 2 Counter-Pick Bans
These stages are available only after round 1 is complete.
-Fountain of Dreams
-Final Destination
-Yoshi's Story
-Delfino's Secret
-Norfair
Red-Banned Stages
This should be self explanatory.
-Everything on Page 2
However, if you and your opponent agree to it you can play on any stage you like. Just don't be salty if you loose on Rainbow Cruise and you agreed to it.
Melee Ruleset:
Melee functions off the Apex ruleset. I have no problem with this and never will consider any changes. Here's a link to the rules if you are unfamiliar: MELEE RULESET
Starters/Neutrals:
These stages are available all rounds but are the only ones available for round 1
-Yoshi’s Story
-Fountain of Dreams
-Battlefield
-Final Destination
-Dream Land
Counterpick:
These stages are available only after round 1 is complete
-Pokemon Stadium
Banned Stages
This should be self explanatory.
-Don't feel like typing them all so let's just say everything else
However, again, if you and your opponent agree to it you can play on any stage you like. Just don't be salty if you loose on Poke Floats and you agreed to it.
Project M Omega Ruleset:
Project M Omega is a special build put together by TheWizard34 on the PM subreddit. Also know as Project M All Stars (I changed the name up to distinguish it from All Star mode,) is a compilation of the most broken version of each character through the past versions of PM all put together into one game. All the way back to 2.1 Falco and Ike to fan favorites 3.02 Meta Knight and Mewtwo and even some more recent versions like 3.5 Sheik and 3.6 Ice Climbers. The goal of this build is to bring the broken stuff back that we all loved back in the 3.0 days and expand on it. Now this isn't a perfect build yet so this is a test run and if things go well then we may possibly replace Turbo mode with this at Unchained. Hope to see you guys come down and enjoy some broken PM!

3:00-Melee Singles Bracket Begins
4:30-Project M Omega Bracket Begins
Location:
Located about 15 minutes away from UNCC and practically in the same parking lot of the Concord Mills Mall this is the ideal location for all your new, retro, card, and board gaming needs. Concord Mills Blvd is directly off I-85 as well so it should be easy enough for you travelers to find. There is plenty of food in the area including Steak & Shake, Chic-Fil-A, and of course the food court in the mall. While no outside food or drink is allowed in the venue they do offer drinks and simple snacks at a very reasonable cost. Also be sure to keep your language and behavior family friendly I look forward to hosting more events here so let's show them the good side of the Smash community. It's important to note this is a high traffic area so be sure to keep that in mind when your heading to and from the event. Be sure to like and follow their Facebook page by clicking the image below.12:00-Doors Open

Project M Stage List:
This is a new stage list for PM 3.6b that we are testing out with 12 stages and 3 counter-pick stage bans. In my opinion this is the best stagelist for 3.6b right now and probably will be the standard stagelist for FPS until the NC PM panel makes their decision. Subject to change!Green-Starter/Neutral Stages: 1-2-1 Starter Striking

Project M Omega Stage List:
In the spirit of the old days of Project M 3.0 I am bringing back the old Apex 2014 Project M stage list just with one minor change since PS1 is weird to access so I'm swapping it out for the Bowser's Castle alternate stage.Green-Starter/Neutral Stages: 1-2-2-1 Starter Striking

Bugs and Glitches:
Keep in mind this is only a beta version and isn't without it's bugs that need to be ironed out. 2 are fairly game breaking that I we know of, a few are not really huge problems but are annoying in a competitive environment.Game breaking bugs: These are priority #1 fixes if we want to do this at Unchained!
- Mewtwo's Shadow Ball doesn't store a charge: The Shadow Ball will not store if you cancel the charge at anytime so basically you can only shoot small Shadow Balls or charge and immediately shoot it. If you fully charge and then try to store it the purple aura on his hand wont go away until you fully charge and shoot another Shadow Ball. Also it will distort the charging animation and you won't be able to see a Shadow Ball charging until you remove the aura.
- Snake's Grenades can't be thrown: If you pull a Grenade and try to throw it in any way Snake will just kind of drop it in front of him.
- Dr. Mario uses FLUDD as Cape: If the Dr. Mario alt costume uses his Cape it summons FLUDD instead of the normal Cape, it also sticks to him and doesn't go away until you die. This is kind of odd but easy to avoid by not using the Dr. Mario alt, also if he uses anything with his right arm (U-Tilt or F-Air) FLUDD will enlarge and will look weird. While admittedly funny this is still the main priority #2 fix for sure.
- Armored Mewtwo's tail is shorter: Reportedly the Armored Mewtwo alt costume's tail is shorter, I haven't really seen the difference but maybe I'm just dumb and can't tell or maybe the tail isn't that much shorter. Same as the Dr. Mario one this is easily avoidable by just not using Armored Mewtwo.
- Mewtwo and Roy have no sound: That's pretty much it, doesn't change anything about them just kind of odd in gameplay.
- Pit's weird sound glitches: Pit's full hop and roll on from ledge have weird little ping ping sounds (kind of like his Up-B,) just kind of weird and can be alarming if you're not ready for it.
