You really kicked them to the Qerb

but in all seriousness, that was pretty ****
You play Capt Jamie often? He seemed to have a pretty good grasp of how to play against you

Ill try to get some of my own vids up against people in central FL

When you were recovering at 1:44 in the Falco vid, I saw you DI'ing towards the Falco, and so did he. I think you weren't watching the enemy there. If you did, you really shouldn't constantly hold forward and go to him, but weave back a bit and create room with a huge F-air.
In that vid I also saw you had a lot of trouble with Falco's lasers. Jumping over them is usually not that bad of an option. If you're a fastfalling Falco Fox or Falcon, but G&W is too slow to jump over the succesfully. You float through the air for about 3 hours, giving him ample time to react. Try to become adept at wavedashing towards him and getting in the range where they try to laser > approach instead of camping it.

At 4:39, as soon as you saw the Firebird, your best bet was to jump out. A dash attack got you nothing, and I don't really know what to do after a dash attack anyway. A F-air would've got him. Good use of platforms that second match, to get around lasers.

Don't have much to add, great game and watch to watch!

And yes, I play capt jamie very often, as well as Mr. F and KAS. We're all from the same town so we play a lot during breaks n stuff especially. Anld yeah, he's definitely pretty adapted to my playstyle and habits by now, I guess i gotta mix it up a lil more hehe.

I def wanna see your gw! Lemme know when you get some vids up =P

Thx for the points, you're absolutely right in all of those cases. I gotta be more wary of move-selection and such. Much appreciated!

Might also be a good idea to WD out of light shield, so that you can effectively "travel in shield"? Never tried this before, so it's just an idea, but would the lasers knock you back too far to prevent a reasonable approach?

I suppose I'll also post the only video I have of my newly born G&W, this saturday :p. This Yoshi is pretty good :x

Bubbaking, I don't think it's that good, the lasers already don't shield-poke and the push away isn't very good. You can tilt your shield in the direction of the lasers, that's something that happens almost automatically.
If you do want to try it however, you can press Z during the wavedash animation so you instantly light shield as soon as you can move. You won't grab and have the largest possible shield. You can keep holding Z and wavedash forward like that, so it could prove to be not so bad. I've been playing with the idea of light-shielding after wavedashing at enemies. On Falco's it's quite hard, but on Fox for example, wavedash right into their dair/nair range with your light-shield, they'll attack it guaranteed.

Now my problem is... Why would I want a fox to attack my light shield. :glare:

You can but it's quite hard since you really have to guess which way they're going, or have amazing reaction time. U-throw is easy, D-throw is not. Usually they DI in front of you the first 2 times, since it's too fast to realize it's a different throw and which way to DI, but really, don't count on it. You're better off doing U-throw combos and finishing with a F-air/N-air.

I think the best bet would be to WD oos before he hits ur shield so that you don't get shield poked (reg shield) or pushed away too far (light shield), although, if your light shield did get hit, wouldn't it be possible to WD out of your light shield to punish, say, a blocked uair or fair from Fox? I don't think anything faster than those could be punished before shine came out.
