My name is Scabe and I am happy to announce that I am the new moderator for the DK boards!
I have volunteered to help you guys out seeing as you guys haven't had a moderator for a very long time. I felt I that I would be suitable for this position because I do know quite a bit about DK (he's one of my favorite characters I use, and I play against DK's all the time), I'm also good friends with D0N and Silfa <3, I usually come here from time to time to check up on what's been happening and last but not least, your community is full of win so I know I'm going to have a good time helping you guys out.

To get the DK boards organised and active I'll need your help. Please make suggestions for what you'd like to see changed/added/moved/etc.
[collapse=Work is done]I'm going to make a new video thread for you guys. This video thread will serve as a place where you can put up your videos for everyone to see, get your DK critiqued, and also get your replays recorded by yours truly! The video section will be in this format - Done!
I'll also be making a new Social thread that will have a link to the DK Xat chatroom, a WiFi section, and a profile section to get to know your DK mains. I bet your all sick of that "DK Mains Are Pretty Sexy Title"

Rules
Last of all, I must remind you guys of the rules. If you see any stupid posts, please don't reply back to it, just ignore it and use the report button if the post is really unnecessary.
Here are the rules:
No spam: If you have nothing useful to say, don't say it at all! This one is pretty common sense. Violators will face minor to major infractions as the offenses occur and room bans accordingly. People who go on sprees will have their spree posts deleted.
Stay on topic: We all know threads get off-track eventually but don't try to do it on purpose. Violations may receive a warning and then an infraction, repeat offenders will face room bans.
No One-liners/10char: We want this room to be full of intelligent discussion and let's face it, there's rarely anything interesting found in a single line of text. No 10char or variations of or no adding a second line that is just added to meet the one-line rule. Violators will first face minor to major infractions as the offenses occur and room bans accordingly. Look at this rule - it's more than two lines. It really isn't hard to type more than that.
Multi-posting: Same as Global Rules, don't multipost. Exceptions are made for server hiccups, but one of the duplicates will be removed. Violators will receive an infraction and then face room bans.
Flaming/Trolling: We have a zero tolerance policy for flaming and trolling. First offense receives an infraction, second is an infraction coupled with a week-long room ban, third is a permanent room ban.
Censor dodging: Don't do it! People can generally guess what you're trying to say when they see asterisks somewhere in a sentence. Censor dodging includes using BB code in the middle of the word, spelling with word in a different way so that it makes the same sound and replacing one letter in the word with an asterisk or something. Also, it doesn't take much effort to edit a picture to remove a curse word. First violation is an infraction, after that is an infraction + room bans at the mod's discretion.
Inappropriate content: Don't post porn/gore/whatever else stuff that isn't suitable for kids. There are minors on this site, after all! You will be infracted and permanently banned from this room!
Don't advertise: Don't make threads for stuff like that and stuff. NO ONE CARES ANYWAY. First violation will be an infraction, after that will be room bans.
Don't violate copyright: Unauthorized reproduction and distribution of media is illegal. This means don't link to streams of movies and such. First violation will be an infraction, after that will be room bans.

The 2010 DK Tournament Results thread
Ook's pretty active but he hasn't updated this since March. The current format for posting up results isn't very detailed and and the font isn't too appealing for my eye. Here I think is a good example of what a tournament thread should look like: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=273302

DK General Discussion & Advancement of Metagame thread
I'm not really sure how this one could be updated.
Tasks:
- This thread needs a leader for discussion, and to update the thread with new ideas. Preferably someone who knows alot about DK to take over this one.
DK Stage Discussion

Originally I thought this was an easy job. But now I think it could be the hardest but the most important job.
Tasks:
- The task here is to compile all the threads that have good information in them. You'll have to go back and can look through all the threads up until 2008 because there was a lot of useful threads back in 09. It'll be a good resource to back to.
- Another task is to update that thread, there are some useful threads that haven't been added.

Needs someone to continue this useful thread.

- Tasks are to go to other character boards and ask for them to come over and contribute. Keeping it updated.
