Hi guysngals, my name is Dakota. I'm a Sm4sher from Missouri. Whereas i've been playing smash since the N64 days, i never thought about getting serious until recently. I'm a HUGE fan of melee, but I've never owned a gamecube in my life, I really got all my hands on it when i visited my cousins and played with them, however I love watching it at a high level, i love watching all Smash at a high level, and that's why i'm here. I want to progress, I want to become better and learn all these techs, and mainly, I just want to be an active member in the community, once I see myself worthy I plan to travel to tournaments and actually experience this Smash family you guys have managed to build. It's so cool to me that this game can bring so many people together. It'd be an honor to meet some of you, play with someone of you, learn from you, and If you like playing Smash 4 I'll gladly add you up and play with you anytime! :D I hope to get my hands on a gamecube and melee as well. I think Smash4 will probably be my main focus competitively, as much as I love watching Melee, I think i'd enjoy learning all the techs and trying to improve in that game aswell. One step at a time, i guess <3 If anyone wants to play and help me out in my road to getting better, just post your nintendo ID and i'll add you up.

I think it's time you got yourself a Gamecube amiright? Kappa
Seriously though. The issue is finding one. I've looked and it seems they're pretty rare around here. Even done some surfing online, on top of that melee is super expensive all of a sudden. Hopefully something crosses me and I have the chance to join the movement.

Definitely, check local classifieds every day, that's what I do and I find Melee and Gamecubes for pretty cheap in my area. It's all about making sure to look. Other than that Ebay/Amazon work but you'll most likely pay double.

Amazon/ebay are where i've had to look to even see listings, and they end up rather expensive, Who knew Smash blowing up recently could be a bad thing :p making prices inflate n stuff.

Yeah exactly, like I said; local classified ads are usually the best place to try and snipe on in 'honestly' good condition for a reasonable price.
