Hey Seton, Will here. In terms of NY/NJ tournaments I'm probably your go-to guy on the DK boards =P I attend most if not all of my tournaments in that region, because I'm from Long Island (big island right to the east of New York City)
As far as July tournaments, here is what I recommend in terms of importance/attendance:
July 17- Well, this date is kind of an exception in that there is an NJ tourney scheduled, but there is a muchhhhh bigger tournament occurring in Baltimore, Maryland the same day. It is going to be so ridiculously huge that 102 people are confirmed already!! I would definitely recommend trying to get to this, since ADHD and Ally are going- 2 of the USA/Canada's best players- as well as tons of other amazing players and it would be well worth your efforts =)

The other tournament that day is Alex Strife's tournament. He is our biggest TO in the US at the moment, but fortune has it that many people are traveling to the Maryland tournament that day. I am sure it will still get a decent turnout though. However, I am not really sure which one I am going to right now, but Maryland is really far so I might end up going to the NJ one for proximity reasons.

July 24: As far as I know, the only event occurring within the NY/NJ area is a pretty local tournament being held on Long Island at a venue called The Game Table. My friend is hosting it and I am helping him hype it up, so it should have a fairly decent turnout. There is normally a tournament held there around once every month or every other month. I will be attending this event.

July 31: If you are still going to be around, I would <3333 it if you could come to my tournament this day ^_^ I just recently posted it and have at least 32 people confirmed on Allisbrawl.com already, and I also posted it up on smashboards. I'll post both links for you to check it out, but it seems like a lot of NJ/NY is coming, as well as some Pennsylvania and New England players coming from pretty far out of state. It'd definitely be worth it for you to hit this up, most of the best of NJ/NY will be there.
