ICs use of SDI/ASDI againt Fox's Drill

I was brushing up on my use of SDI/ASDI with the specific idea of using it to escape Fox's dair shine tech chase stuff when I thought about how it would apply to ICs. I know that Marth can ASDI against Fox's drill to get a grab but was wondering if that is available to ICs considering their really low traction. I haven't tested it but I'm guessing it may send you too far away and that f-smash may be a good idea to replace it (depending on how far you go)? Any clarification would be helpful. :)
