Implementing Crouch Cancel vs. Marth

I was just thinking about the usefulness of crouch canceling after watching KDJ's shiek play Ken's marth.

Against a shuffling (fair most likely) happy marth, would ccing at low % to reduce the knockback and initiating a counter attack be a good idea?

Also, at the edge, how effective is cc'ing Marth's up-b attack into a dtilt -> fair? Obviously, this would only be when I am short on time. If I had time and Marth was a good distance offstage, I'd have lightshielded at the edge to hog him, forcing him on-stage to eat a ledge-hopped fair or bair.

If I'm missing any terminology or just plain doing it wrong, please let me know. I just came back to these forums not long ago.

Please either add to my ideas to help clarify how CCing is amazingly useful vs. Marth in a lot of situations, or refute my claim.

Thanks,
Wes

Of course CC is used... Whenever Marth's in the air, especially the weaker Marths, I wait for them to do a move -- because they ALWAYS do a move before they hit the ground -- and then just dtilt or stand up and ftilt. It's ridiculous **** if they don't space perfectly.

Re: ccing Marth's up b, that's bad. You'll go nowhere with that. Any Marth is going to sweet spot or get close enough to sweet spot where dtilt won't work.

Yeah you're right about the recovery. Edge hog -> invincible nair is much better, or using the priority of bair would be far better too.
