Is down throw > forward air still a thing?

Back in Smash 4, I was able to pull off the kill confirm relatively frequently, but I've never been able to connect it in Ultimate. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the combo no longer connects. Can any Doc mains out there confirm or deny my suspicions?

It's a little harder to pull off with Doc, but it's possible still. Personally though, there are some better combos to use I think, like Doc Tornado instead of fair. However, this is just from my own experiences.

If they give us the option to turn off "Attack + Jump = Auto Short-hop", then it will be a viable option again since the timing has to be frame-prefect.
