Atlantic North Level Up Smash - Melee & Project M Weekly

This is New Hampshire's premier Melee and Project M weekly tournament! We run singles for both games, and the entire event runs from 12:00-6:00 PM every Sunday.

VENUE:
Double Midnight Comics - 245 Maple Street, Manchester, NH.
It's right next to Gill Stadium, in Manchester.

SCHEDULE:
Sign-ups start at noon, while Melee starts at 1:00 PM. PM starts at 2:30 PM.

FEES:
Venue Fee - $5. Will be waived with a Melee or Project M setup.
Entry fees are $3 for singles in both Melee and Project M.

PROJECT M RULESET:
The current stagelist is based off the "Nebraska 9," and those stages are as follows.

STARTERS: Pokemon Stadium 2, Battlefield, Smashville, Green Hill Zone, Bowser's Castle Alternate

COUNTERPICKS: Wario Land, Dream Land, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination.

1-2-1 striking for the first game based off RPS, then the winner of game 1 gets 2 bans.

For Best of 5 sets, this tournament uses MODIFIED DSR for PM. This means that DSR only bans the LAST STAGE that a player has won on.

PAYOUTS:
60% for 1st, 30% for 2nd, & 10% for 3rd
Payouts for both events are subject to rounding.

Yeah, it's $11 for venue, melee, and PM singles. We're hosting every Sunday at DMC presently; any changes to date or venue will be reflected here. 25 people showed up for our most recent event.

Just an FYI, Level Up Smash is NOT HAPPENING on February 14th, which is Valentine's Day. We'll be back on February 21st. Feb. 28 happening? I need to know whether or not to save up money to go, or if that'd be a waste of time. That and I would need someone to go with. So, put in the thread if Feb. 28 will be a tournament day or not.

Alright, so I have to look around for money. Well, see you there maybe, but probably not, as I may be in Mass.

One question, will there ever be doubles? I think that it would be nice to have, but I can understand that because ~24 people come to each tournament, that would mean a maximum of 12 teams. I think it would be interesting, but I can understand if the answer is no.

Because we are hosting Melee and PM and effectively only have 5 hours to finish everything from 1-6 PM, I cannot host teams for either game. If I had more time perhaps, but the venue closes at 6. Sorry. :/

As I said above, any changes to our venue or whatever will be reflected here. We're not doing 3/27 due to Easter Sunday and what happens after that will be determined later.

Hey, just popping in this thread to say that I'll be there tomorrow and hopefully all further events (I've been getting really into melee/pm recently) and was wondering if you need any more setups b/c I can bring a Melee/PM one if necessary.

Also, what stage-list are you going to use for PM? I'd like to know ahead of time

I have one question. One of my friends that will be coming to these tournaments with me is super casual and refuses to play with anything but wii mote nunchuck. Would he be able to play?

TheLazerblazer I am pretty sure that as PM is based on Brawl's engine that your friend will be able to do that. aj_steel , I'll update the OP with that information.
