mysterious olimar problem!?!?

hi. i am an ice climbers and olimar main. i love playing as olimar. recently i have had a problem occur 3 times in a two week span. in the middle of a fight all of my pikmin related moves seem to be disabled. its never happened during a battle against a human luckily, but only against computers.
here is a further description of what happens to me:
1.i cannot pull pikmin out
2.i cannot throw pikmin
3. during those 2 B moves i just hear the noise that happens when you try to pull out a pikmin when you already have six. also olimars animation stays the same, there is just no pikmin action.
4. ALL my air moves (except Nair) and smash moves are useless.
5. this problem has occured when i have had zero pikmin out and when i have had some out but they still do nothing.

after this happens i am forced to battle the computer using my tilts and spamming my Nair.
has this happened to anyone else?
am i using my pikmin too much and fatiguing them?
is the computer just THAT desperate to win that it cheats me out of my moves?
is there a glitch in my copy of the game?
any help is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance to all you other olimar lovers out there.

Okay I have to ask some questions first.

Okay where were you when this happened?
Did you whistle, Down B, to get the pikmin back, if they weren't dead?

its happened on delfino plaza and halberd. so maybe they got stuck somewhere while the stage was moving where they wouldnt die but still couldnt come back to me? idk. i did try whistle with no results.

Only thing I could think of is that the Pikmin got stuck somewhere like Dr. Hyde said. A video would be helpful so we can see exactly what is happening.

Just remember to save one next time if it is under 3:00. That way we can try to help a bit more. Otherwise kind of hard. Wish I could do something but, I have no idea.

One of two things could have happened..
The first is that once in a while a glitch occurs that gives you 'ghost pikmin'.

Or they could sometimes get infinately stuck on some walls.

Sounds like the ghost pikmin glitch to me. I'm still wondering what would happen if this happens in a tournament.

if it happens inn a tournament, ur screwed haha... but just whistle... do 1 to 2 atks with pikmin, then whistle and repeat, and if you atk and its with the ghost pikmin, just whistle and try again..... don't let it be known wht happend, just play as if its normal but adding the whistle

Don't let it be known lol. Knowing me I would probably stop everyone in the room in a panic saying " NO CHEATING STOP I CAN'T ATTACK!!!!!!

black waltz, thats definately what happened to me. thanks for solving that part of it for me. it was for sure the "ghost pikmin" glitch. i feel a little less crazy now. any idea what causes it?
i would like to avoid it happening again if i can. thanks again.

This happened to me too, on Pictochat. All my Pikmin disappeared. So then when I try to pull them, only 1 came out. I tried whistling, and they were still gone. When I died I saw a mass of Pikmin ghosts.

The others sais it already. All pikmin of the ghost color will do nothing.
If you need all 6 again, only solution is suicide. :U

I would think that you would be allowed to restart the match if this happened in a tourney. Would be kind of unfair otherwise.
